I went to the Squidoo site but it says that that lense is now locked. By the way, my Imac had two 'core panics' using Magic Jack. I have not yet downloaded the software using a windows machine. If I ask a friend to use their computer to do this I am worried it might cause a problem on their machine. The Magic Jack worked on my computer until just short of 1 month.
But then I tried to make international calls (they drop off when then person picks up at the other end!) and then suddenly my mac gave me the 'grey curtain and 4 languange message you need to reboot your computer' Has anyone made international calls successfully with the Imac version? Also they say no blue tooth available yet for Macs. Any idea when that will be available? I called tech assistance and they talked me through it and i reinstalled my system. Tried it again and once more lock up.
So I am nervous about it. Would like to download the mac upgrade using a windows system but nervous about that too.

Can you help? Also I have the 10.5.4 and don't want it to crash if there is something incompatible there. Thanks for your help! I think it depends on what CPU you have. I am almost fairly certain that it would not work on my computer (the website says it supports Intel Mac, not PPC Mac). I suppose someone might have developed a third party driver that would be compatible for PPC Mac but that would be your only option. I mention this because I tried to run an intel-based mac program and it said something along the lines of having the wrong CPU type.
But really as far as I can tell. MagicJack is only supporting x86 type processors (i.e. Intel, amd) with Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X (not entirely sure what operating system versions). I hope this helps.
